Really enjoyable. Excellent topics and appreciate the ability to be able to tailor the difficulty for those of us who need a little help. The planned 15 minute session to try it out morphed into a couple of satisfying 'just one more round' hours.
Would certainly recommend for anyone who enjoys word puzzles.
Congratulations on the release, looks great! I hope you enjoy bug reports :) I've installed this on Windows 10 through the itch.io app with sandboxing enabled, but rather than launch the game, the app opens up an explorer window of AppData\Roaming\itch\apps\romanesque which contains the installer, instead of the game. (No idea how to resolve, sorry; I've only released a toy web weekend project on itch)
Thanks for the heads-up. I wasn't aware of the itch.io app so didn't factor it into my testing!
Having run some tests using the app, I suspect it's incompatible with Romanesque's Windows installer. The app seems to be designed for installer-less games so assumes the installer executable is the game executable and doesn't bother running the installer when 'installing'! To play the game, you'll need to run RomanesqueInstaller.exe manually, and launch the game via the desktop shortcut, start menu, or taskbar. Sorry about that.

This is a fantastic game. Occasionally devilish and constantly entertaining.
I believe there's a minor typo in the word lists for puzzle #26... [spoiler removed]
Glad you're enjoying it and thanks for making me aware of that typo.

Thanks! Coming from a veteran dev such as yourself, that's very encouraging/kind.
